Cornell Cookbook #11: Chocolate Chip Pound Cake

Ingredients

1 yellow cake mix 
1/2 C sugar 
1 small box Vanilla instant pudding 
3/4 C veg oil 
3/4 C water 
4 eggs 
8 oz sour cream 
1 C chocolate chips

 

Instructions

  1. Pre-heat oven to 350.
  2. Grease and flour a Bundt pan with powdered sugar.
  3. Blend all dry ingredients except chocolate chips
  4. Beat together water, oil and eggs.
  5. Add in sour cream.
  6. Gradually beat in dry ingredients.
  7. Fold in chocolate chips.
  8. Bake for 40-45 min or until toothpick comes out clean.

 

Tips: I literally throw it all together and it turns out fine. Depends on your oven, but check on it at about 40 min. I'm pretty sure I've never left it in past 50 mins. Once it's got a golden top, pull it out. After about five minutes of taking it out, go around the cake on the inside of the pan, with a butter knife. Then wait about 45 minutes before turning the pan over on a rack and popping cake out :)
