Tera Ritter, President

president@cornellpta.org

Hi! I’m Tera Ritter and I’m excited to be your new Cornell PTA President the for 2018-2019 year. My son is a 3rd grader and the love of my life! We have a feisty little dog called Lucy who keeps us busy. I pride myself in finding new ways to connect with my community on a personal level and I hope to take that to a whole new level in this new role. I believe staying connected to my son’s school helps me to be the best Mother I can possibly be. I work hard at my job as a pediatric trauma nurse specialist and when I have some free time I love going to the beach, hiking in the mountains, remodeling my little caravan and enjoy being creative. I look forward to getting to know you all as we build a strong community for our children together.

Marissa Mallare, Secretary

secretary@cornellpta.org

I was born and raised in the South Bay and now call Albany home. What I love about Albany is that it’s at once a small town because of its tight knit community and yet it’s also like a vibrant little city with lots to offer. I have two children attending Cornell and since my oldest was in Kindergarten, I have been an active parent, often helping out in the classroom and with school events. This year I decided to increase my involvement by joining the PTA as Secretary. When I am not driving my kids’ to swim class or soccer lessons, I substitute at a local preschool, practice my guitar and knit.
