A Haitian Recipe: Oeuf Au Lait (Egg to the Milk)
(This drink can be consummated at breakfast or after dinner to warm you up on a cold night or when you are sick with a chest cold.)

Ingredients:
- 2 cups of milk (any milk of your choice)
- 1 large egg
- 2 Tablespoons of aloe vera gel
- 1 cinnamon stick
- 2 star anise
- Dash of nutmeg and ginger
- 1 teaspoon of any sweetener (optional)
- 1Tbsp of rhum, whisky, or gin
Preparation:
- In a casserole on low-heat, bring the milk, cinnamon and star anise to a boil.
- Meanwhile, beat the egg with the aloe vera gel in a small bowl.
- Add the boiled milk to the egg mixture after discarding the cinnamon + star anise.
- Then, stir in one tsp of honey or any sweetener with a dash of nutmeg and ginger.
- Finally, stir in the rhum. It makes two servings and you might feel warmer after drinking it! - Enjoy!!
