Cornell Cookbook #13: Grandma Child's Butterscotch Icebox Cookies

Ingredients
- 1 c butter
- 2 c brown sugar
- 2 eggs
- 3 ½ + c flour
- ¼ t salt
- 1 t baking soda
- 1 t cream of tartar
- 2 T sour cream
- 1 t vanilla
- 1 c chopped walnuts
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 375
- Cream butter and sugar.
- Add eggs.
- Sift flour, salt, baking soda and cream of tartar.
- Add flour mixture to creamed mixture with sour cream and vanilla. Add a bit more flour to make mixture stiff. Add nuts.
- Form into two rolls and wrap with waxed paper.
- Freeze until stiff.
- Slice rolls thinly to form cookies and bake 12 min. until golden brown and crisp.
