Facilities Information for School Reopening

The Facility Work needed at Cornell must comply with State and local health and safety standards pertaining to ventilation.

The Cornell PTA offers these three documents as the primary guidelines put in place by the State and County to protect our public health and safety.

Financial assistance is needed, but the State is willing to reimburse the assessment and work required by the Ventilation Verification Certificate and local ventilation guidelines.

In summary, the minimum ventilation required for each classroom is 0.38 cubic feet per minute for each square foot of classroom. This is to be monitored with co2 monitoring which can alert at 800ppm.
